Welcome to my new personal site! I’m an urban policy analyst and Adjunct Fellow at the Empire Center for Public Policy working in Brooklyn, New York. My research focus is in urban and transportation economics, translating frontier academic knowledge into usable policy proposals for American cities. I do not believe policymakers should dictate location choices for anyone, but if we must do so anyway, the least we can do is ensure it’s not illegal to live near transit and jobs.

Before joining Empire, I was a Fellow in state & local policy at the Manhattan Institute, having started there in 2013. I graduated from the Harvard Kennedy School with a Masters Public Policy in 2019, and from the University of Rochester with a BA in economics and political science in 2012. While in grad school I was a Taubman Summer Fellow in capital planning at the MBTA in Boston.
